This Brenham pallasite is the sole meteorite found by Brenham Meteorite Company, Ltd. in Mr. Ronald Ross's 100-acre wheat field.   Brenham Meteorite Company had hopes in discovering a few specimens in this portion of the strewnfield as Mr. Ross' wheat field was thought to be near the center of the strewnfield.   Nature's hand was quick to teach otherwise and dealt a new mystery - the center of the strewnfield lay elsewhere.   This specimen appears to be the highest quality Brenham pallasite for cutting purposes and complete slices should be heart-shaped.   The external surface of this meteorite has not been cleaned at all and is only very slightly oxidized despite being buried beneath the Kansas sod for at least 2 millenia.   This meteorite was filmed by a television crew while being recovered in December 2005; its recovery was the lead story on the evening news for ABC's local affiliate, KAKE in Wichita, Kansas.
